U.S. Penitentiary (USP) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC)
Completed in 2003 at a cost of $142 million, the USP and FPC at Hazelton now houses 1,600 maximum security inmates in a campus style facility. The 1.6 million SF USP is served by a central utility plant which provides hot and chilled water and 12.5 kV emergency power.
Wiley|Wilson organized and led a seven month deployment to provide new construction commissioning for the entire facility. Wiley|Wilson also coordinated field commissioning personnel and was responsible for assembling the final report. The final commissioning report documenting the facility’s readiness for inmate occupancy totaled over 1,100 pages.
