Wiley|Wilson Announces Leadership Changes

Wiley|Wilson is excited to announce the following changes to our leadership team.

Neil McSweeney has been elected President and Chief Operations Officer of the firm. He will manage the daily activities of the company with overall responsibility for operations, client service, growth, and profitability. Neil previously served as Senior Vice President in charge of the firm’s Richmond Operations and most recently as COO. He led Wiley|Wilson’s successful growth in servicing large federal government IDIQ contracts. He also led the firm’s entry into the design-build arena where Wiley|Wilson is now one of the most sought-after design-build partners in the mid-Atlantic region.

“Neil has provided outstanding leadership in every position he has held at Wiley|Wilson and he will continue this leadership as President and COO. Neil has experience in all facets of our business and knows how to motivate employee-owners to provide outstanding service to our clients,” said Fred Armstrong, Wiley|Wilson’s Chairman and CEO.

Tim Groover will transition from being President into the newly created role of Senior Director. He will focus on sustaining and growing the company’s ownership culture that centers on service to others and constant progress, while guiding the firm’s career and leadership development initiatives. He will remain the firm’s Director of Business Development, helping the company maintain and expand its presence in existing and emerging markets.

“I interviewed Neil years ago at VMI and knew then he would be a great fit for Wiley|Wilson. It is thrilling to now pass the leadership torch to him,” Tim said. “These leadership changes reflect the deep well of talent that we have and the enthusiasm of Wiley|Wilson employee-owners to answer the call when leadership opportunities become available.”

Keith Thompson joins Neil and Tim on the leadership team as a newly elected Vice President. He has contributed to the firm’s success as a project manager and discipline lead. Keith’s direct experience with project execution and maintaining positive client relationships will assist him in leading operations in this new role.

“Keith is a rare combination of technical expert and service-oriented leader. He works tirelessly to both mentor internal staff and meet the needs of our clients. He’s a highly respected leader who adds value to everything he touches,” said Dennis Knight, Wiley|Wilson Director and Water Resources Group Leader.
