Arc Flash Hazard Analysis
Wiley|Wilson completed an electrical coordination and arc flash hazard analysis for the Boucke and Food Sciences Buildings. Boucke is an academic building consisting primarily of classroom spaces and some faculty offices. The Food Sciences Building is home to Penn State’s famous Creamery, and houses research labs, conferencing spaces, and academic and administrative suites. The field work encompassed individual building low voltage electrical systems.
Wiley|Wilson’s analysis included the condition assessment of equipment, system model development using SKM Power*Tools software, short circuit coordination study, and arc flash hazard analysis. Wiley|Wilson also provided electrical one-line diagrams, custom-printed arc flash hazard labels, specific information on each equipment location, and assisted Penn State in affixing labels to equipment.
