Arc Flash Hazard Analysis
Wiley|Wilson has been working for American University consistently for over 30 years, with numerous projects including planning and designing their campus medium voltage electrical distribution system. In 2014, American University began the process of performing arc flash hazard analysis on campus facilities. These studies include short circuit studies, development of one-line diagrams, protective device coordination, equipment condition surveys, and NEC® compliance surveys.
Hamilton Hall was chosen as American University’s kickoff project and Wiley|Wilson was selected to execute the project. At project conclusion, we met with American University administration to provide education and training relative to the importance and the results of this work and to review the specific findings of the Hamilton Hall studies.
